Solu-Cortef Injection (Hydrocortisone Sodium Succinate) exhibits strong anti-inflammatory properties. This corticosteroid medication works by relieving inflammation and is used in cases where rapid corticosteroid treatment is needed and when administration by mouth is not possible or considered impractical for medical reasons. After parenteral administration, it exhibits a wide range of effects on the body`s metabolism and immune system. By affecting the release of chemicals that contribute to the immune system and allergic responses, it can help cause a drastic reduction in inflammation.

Its vasoconstrictive effects (meaning that it narrows the blood vessels) have also been suggested by medical researchers as being related to its therapeutic benefits.
