Alutabs

Alutabs (Aluminium Hydroxide) is an antacid made up of aluminium which is a naturally found material, used to help manage conditions such as heartburn, stomach acidity, upset stomach, sour stomach, and indigestion. Patients with certain kidney problems may also be prescribed Alutabs (Aluminium Hydroxide) to reduce their levels of phosphate.

You should always consult your physician for advice regarding correct dosage and administration. This is especially important as dosage can largely vary based on the condition being treated and the individual patient.

Typical patients may dose from 4 to 6 times per day at 500mg to 3600mg.

When taken for certain conditions dosing should be done alongside meals, and for other conditions it should be taken between meals on an empty stomach, so it is important to strictly follow your physician`s instructions.

Elderly patients and children should be prescribed lower doses than otherwise healthy adults.

Do not use Alutabs (Aluminium Hydroxide) tablets for more than 2 weeks consecutive unless specifically instructed to do so by your physician or other physician.

If you notice any of the side effects listed below, stop taking Alutabs (Aluminium Hydroxide) tablets immediately and consult your physician as soon as possible for more information.

• Severe drowsiness
• Severe tiredness
• Severe stomach pains
• Constipation
• Stool which are bloody, tarry, or black in colour
• Painful urination
• Coughing up blood
• Decreased appetite
• Weak muscles
