Description

Uses

Frontline Spray (Fipronil) is a rapidly acting waterproof topical treatment which is used to eliminate and control fleas, chewing lice, mites that cause sarcoptic mange, deer ticks, brown dog ticks, lone star ticks and American dog ticks. It is effective against adult ticks, as well as their larvae and nymphs, and it can even kill the ticks responsible for the transmission of serious diseases such as Lyme disease, ehrlichiosis, babesiosis, haemobartonellosis, Rocky Mountain spotted fever and anaplasmosis. The active component in this spray is a type of insecticide belonging to the phenylpyrazole group of chemicals. It works by causing a disruption to the central nervous system of the insects.

Dosage and Administration

Frontline Spray (Fipronil) is sprayed onto your cat or dog`s coat. A veterinarian will provide you with detailed information on the frequency of application as well as how to properly apply it. It is strongly recommended that you wear gloves, to prevent contact with your hands and potential skin irritation. While spraying it on your dog, it may be necessary to ruffle the coat. Spray it to the neck, sides, back, stomach and legs until the coat is damp or wet. However, do not allow any of the insecticide to get into your pet`s mouth or eyes. When treating the animal`s face, you must spray the product onto a cloth, and gently rub it in to prevent this from occurring.

Carefully observe your dog or cat after treating it for fleas, ticks or lice with Frontline Spray (Fipronil) and if it appears to be sick, it will be necessary to bring it to a veterinarian as soon as possible.
