Moza

Moza (Mosapride) is a gastroprokinetic agent which is used to treatment disorders such as dyspepsia, acid reflux, and irritable bowel syndrome. It has the power to accelerate the process of `gastric emptying`, speed up acetylcholine release, and also has antagonist properties.

This medication is normally not suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding patients, and should be used with caution by elderly patients and children.

Take strictly as instructed by your physician. Never self-medicate or adjust your dosage unless you have been advised to by a health care professional.

The usual recommended dosage is 1 tablet, taken three times a day. Elderly patients and children may require a reduced dose.

Aim to dose at the same time(s) each day for best results. Dosing can be done either with or without food.

Report all side effects to your physician, doing so as soon as possible if any persist, worsen, or become bothersome.

Side effects which have been reported by patients taking this medication include:

• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Abdominal pains
• Diarrhoea
• Constipation
• Headaches
• Insomnia

Seek immediate emergency medical attention if you notice any of the following as they may indicate you are suffering an allergic reaction.

• Skin rashes
• Hives
• Swelling of the hands, feet, neck, or face
• Chest pains
• Difficulty swallowing
• Trouble breathing

Children and the elderly patients should take this medication with caution and under their physician close supervision.

Moza (Mosapride) is not suitable for patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding except in certain rare circumstances. Consult your physician if you have any doubts or queries regarding this.
