Description
Toba (Tobramycin/Dexamethasone) is used to treat as well as to prevent bacterial eye infections. It is ineffective at treating infections which are not bacterial. It has antibiotic properties which inhibit bacteria from functioning, and corticosteroids properties which reduce swelling associated with eye infections.
Most patients using Toba (Tobramycin/Dexamethasone) are advised to administer 1 to 2 eye drops per affected eye. Do not wear contact lenses during administration. Always recap the dropper immediately after use and store in a safe place, away from children and pets.
There is a risk of experiencing side effects when using any medication, and Toba (Tobramycin/Dexamethasone) is no different. Inform your physician of all side effects you notice, doing so swiftly if any persist or worsen. Possible side effects include:
