Visiocare Ointment (Cyclosporine) is an ophthalmic ointment given to dogs to treat eye conditions such as keratoconjunctivitis sicca, chronic keratitis, and general dry eye. The medication prevents swelling and irritation of the eye to provide comfort for your pet. It is recommended to use the ointment as early on as possible to prevent eye conditions from causing irreversible damage to the dog`s eyesight.

Visiocare Ointment (Cyclosporine) is typically applied to the affected eye of the dog every twelve hours. The best dosage will be determined by your veterinarian based on the severity of your dog`s eye condition and its response to similar treatments. To use the medication remove any debris from the eye being treated such as discharge or mucus, apply a thin strip of ointment, and close the dog`s eye to spread it over the surface of the eye. It should be noted that several weeks of application may be required before the desired effects are observed in your pet.

Visiocare Ointment (Cyclosporine) will not cause side effects when applied correctly. Contact your veterinarian immediately if you do notice any unusual symptoms or signs of an allergic reaction such as vomiting, swelling, severe skin reactions, or trouble breathing.

Visiocare Ointment (Cyclosporine) should only be used for one month after opening the tube. Store the medication in a cool dry place to prevent it from expiring.
