XTANE

XTANE (Exemestane) is an oral medication prescribed to treat breast cancer in post-menopausal women. It operates by reducing estrogen levels to stop or slow the growth of tumors that are thought to use this hormone to grow. Your doctor may also prescribe this medication to treat other unlisted conditions.

Strictly use XTANE (Exemestane) as prescribed by your physician to get the best results. Your dosage and frequency of administration will be determined based on your symptoms and current health condition. Never self-medicate or deviate from these instructions as misuse can cause serious health complications. Swallow the tablets whole and unaltered with a full glass of water after a meal or snack to prevent an upset stomach. Do not alter the form of the medication by chewing, splitting, or dissolving them in water as this can destroy the contents or change their effects.

The use of XTANE (Exemestane) may cause side effects in some patients. These can range widely in intensity and should always be discussed with your doctor as soon as possible. Side effects that may occur include:

XTANE (Exemestane) should nto be used by women who have not gone through menopause, pregnant, breastfeeding, or lactose intolerant. Also disclose if you have osteoporosis, decreased liver function, or decreased kidney function to make sure any necessary adjustments are made to your dosage.
