Adapen Gel (Adapalene) is a topical medication used to treat mild to moderate acne. It works by decreasing the growth of cells that block the pores and glands, thereby reducing the amount of blackheads and spots formed. It can also affect the growth of skin cells, which helps to exfoliate the outer skin. Your physician may also prescribe this medication to treat other unlisted conditions.

These conditions may require reduced application frequency or emergency medical attention to prevent more health problems from occurring.

Adapen Gel (Adapalene) can make the skin sensitive to sunlight. If you are outdoors, you should cover any exposed skin with clothing and apply sunscreen. This will help to avoid damage to the skin.

Only apply Adapen Gel (Adapalene) to the skin. Never apply it to the inner nose or mouth, and avoid rubbing it onto skin that is damaged or cut in any way.

Seek immediate emergency medical attention if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms to watch for, which may be indicative of a reaction, include skin rashes, hives, swelling of the face or limbs, trouble breathing, and trouble swallowing.

Adapen Gel (Adapalene) may be unsafe for certain patients, it is essential you always inform your physician if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as well as if you have any allergies, other illnesses, or ongoing health conditions, and if you are taking any other form of medication, supplements, or herbal products.
