Description

Uses

Adaclene Gel (Adapalene) is a retinoid used for the treatment of acne vulgaris. It helps to exfoliate the skin, decrease the formation of spots and boost skin exfoliation. The main ingredient in this gel is a vitamin A derivative which functions as a comedolytic agent. When applied topically, it acts on the keratinocytes (cells on the outer skin) and stops abnormal differentiation and growth.

As a result of this, proliferation the skin cells which can obstruct and clog the pores is reduced, which leads to unblocking of the pores and a reduction in the accumulation of sebum. Furthermore, treatment helps to boost the skin`s renewal process, which helps to clear comedones from the face and reduce lesions and cysts. By blocking leukocyte activity and preventing the release of cytokines, it can also relieve skin inflammation. Medical studies have also examined its effects if used for keratosis pilaris, fine lines, rosacea and other conditions.

Adaclene Gel (Adapalene) comes as a 0.1 per cent strength formulation which is contained in a 15g tube.
