Alanase

Alanase Nasal Spray (Beclomethasone Dipropionate) is a corticosteroid medicine which helps to reduce inflammation that may occur in the nasal passages. This makes it an effective treatment for allergic rhinitis (hay fever), and can relieve sneezing, congestion and other symptoms of this condition. In some cases, patients have used it for preventing allergy symptoms, treating perennial allergic rhinitis (year round allergies), and to prevent lumps in the nose (nasal polyps) from returning after surgery to remove them has taken place.

Patients should note that a medical consultation is required prior to starting Alanase Nasal Spray (Beclomethasone Dipropionate), so that the correct dosage can be prescribed. Always follow the dosage instructions provided by your physician. In some cases, adults treating allergies have been prescribed a dosage consisting of one spray, delivered into each nostril twice per day. However, this may vary for some patients, depending on the severity of the condition being treated. This medicine must be used as prescribed in order for it to be effective, and patients should note that the full benefits may not be noticeable within the first few sprays.

Using Alanase Nasal Spray (Beclomethasone Dipropionate) to treat allergy symptoms or other conditions can sometimes cause side effects, such as:

• Sneezing
• Nosebleeds
• An unpleasant smell or taste
• Sores around the mouth or nose
• Dryness or itching of the nose

Serious side effects will require medical attention straight away. Examples include severe nasal bleeding, sores which will not heal, blurred vision, fever, eye pain and various other reactions which have not been listed here.

While using this medicine, you should avoid direct contact with people who have an infection that could spread to others.
