Baytril Otic

Baytril Otic (Enrofloxacin/Silver Sulfadiazine) is an antibiotic solution used to clean and treat bacterial infections affecting the ears of dogs and cats. The medication operates by stopping the growth of bacteria while rinsing away wax and buildup to aid healing. It is often used for prolonged periods of treatment to control or eliminate bacterial infections.

Follow your veterinarian`s instructions for using Baytril Otic (Enrofloxacin/Silver Sulfadiazine) to get the best results. It is normally used once each day for best results. Dispense a small amount of medication into the animal`s ear and gently massage the ear canal for twenty seconds. Allow the animal to shake excess medicine out before using a cotton swab to remove buildup and wax.

When used correctly, Baytril Otic (Enrofloxacin/Silver Sulfadiazine) will not cause side effects in most patients. Although they are rare, some side mild side effects may occur such as a mild skin rash or stinging affecting the ear. If you notice any serious symptoms such as symptoms of an allergic reaction (hives, severe rash, or trouble breathing) tell your veterinarian immediately to make sure the correct changes are made to prevent any further problems.

Do not use Baytril Otic (Enrofloxacin/Silver Sulfadiazine) if your pet has a perforated ear drum or if the ear drum has been removed.
