Crotorax

Crotorax Cream (Crotamiton) is a topical medication used to treat various skin conditions including scabies, chicken pox, dermatitis, sunburns, as well as insect bites. It is a scabicide and antipruritic which works by reducing itchy and irritated skin.

Administer Crotorax Cream (Crotamiton) strictly as prescribed by your physician. Patients are usually advised to administer the cream either 2 or 3 times per day, for a period of 3 to 5 days. Administration should normally be done shortly before sleeping. While it is normally applied locally to the area(s) affected, when used to treat scabies it is applied over the whole body except for the face and head.

Report all side effects to your physician, doing so as soon as possible if any are persistent or they worsen. Side effects which have been reported by patients using Crotorax Cream (Crotamiton) include:

• Itching
• Burning sensations
• Tingling sensations

Seek immediate medication attention if you notice swelling (particularly of the face or limbs), skin rashes, hives, difficulty swallowing, or trouble breathing.

Avoid applying Crotorax Cream (Crotamiton) to any damaged, cut, or sunburnt skin.

Do not apply on or near to your face.
