Dutas-T

Dutas-T (Dutasteride/Tamsulosin) contains seperate capsules of Dutasteride and Tamisulosin. Each strip contains 10 capsules of Dutasteride 0.5mg and 10 capsules of Tamisulosin 0.4mg. Dutasteride is used for treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate). Dutas-T inhibits DHT. Dutas-T has also been used to treat hairloss (Male Pattern Baldness).

Tamsulosin is used to treat the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). This condition can cause difficulty in starting urination, a weak flow of urine, and the need to urinate urgently or more frequently. This drug relaxes the muscle around the prostate, freeing the flow of urine and decreasing urinary symptoms.

Take Dutas-T (Dutasteride/Tamsulosin) exactly as directed by your physician. Take each dose with a full glass of water and swallow the capsules whole. Do not chew, crush or break the capsules. Dutasteride can be taken with or without food.

The side effects of Dutas-T (Dutasteride/Tamsulosin) include impotence (trouble getting or keeping an erection), a decrease in libido (sex drive), breast enlargement and tenderness (gynecomastia), a decrease in the amount of semen released during sex. These side effects usually decrease or disappear with continued usage, or stopping the medication altogether.

Do not stop taking Dutas-T without first talking to your physician. While some men have fewer problems and symptoms after 3 months of treatment with Dutas-T, a treatment period of at least 6 months is usually necessary to see if treatment with Dutas-T will be beneficial.
