Tegibs

Tegibs (Tegaserod) increases the action of serotonin (a body chemical) in the intestines. This speeds the movement of stools (bowel movements) through the bowels. It is used to treat severe, chronic, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) in women who have constipation as their main bowel problem (constipation-predominant). This medicine also used to treat chronic idiopathic constipation in patients less than 65 years of age. It has not been shown to be helpful for men with irritable bowel syndrome.

Tegibs (Tegaserod) comes in the form of tablets which are meant to be administered orally. The correct dosage will be decided by your physician and it is very important that you follow any instructions which are provided to you.

Tegibs (Tegaserod) may cause some patients to experience side effects. You must inform your physician of all reactions which occur. If you suffer from a serious reaction, seek immediate medical attention.
