Healthy diet and vitamins.
Our diet is the first factor that influences the thickness of our hair. Therefore, it is recommended including the following vitamins in your diet:
- A (fruit, orange vegetables, meat, fish, cheese) – protects hair follicles from negative influences, dryness and brittleness.
- B (green beans, broccoli, greens, grains, eggs, nuts, tomatoes, beef) – strengthens and accelerates hair growth.
- C (citrus fruit, kiwi, berries, broccoli) – strengthens blood vessel walls and promotes collagen production, making hair more elastic.
- E (vegetable oil, eggs, cabbage, nuts) – accelerates growth and strengthens roots.
- K (tomatoes, onions, liver, carrots, parsley, cabbage) – gives hair a healthy shine.
Use specialized hair growth shampoos.
Among strengthening and therapeutic shampoos, you can find products that help hair grow faster. These are known as “activator shampoos” (for example Anaphase Shampoo) for weakened and brittle hair. Their action is aimed at strengthening the follicles and stimulating their activity, as well as awakening inactive follicles. Choose hair products containing angelica, green coffee, ginseng extract, pepper and vitamin complexes.
Use hair growth serum.
The active components in the serum (for example Bontress Hair Serum) enhance the metabolism of hair follicle cells and help combat hair loss. You should apply the serum to your scalp several times a week. Carefully choose the product and read the instructions, as the composition should be suitable for your scalp type.
Choose a hair growth spray.
Selecting such a product should be done based on a specialist’s recommendation. Ask a professional which spray is suitable for your scalp to promote hair growth. It’s beneficial if the composition contains vitamins A, E, B5, PP, castor, peach or almond oil, magnesium, copper, zinc and herbal extracts. Avoid sprays that contain polyquaternium, as it can cause dryness and lead to seborrhea.
Use hair growth activator ampoules.
Ampoules for hair growth activation address multiple tasks simultaneously. They alleviate dryness and oiliness, provide shine and help prevent premature graying. These ampoules typically contain vitamins, oils, collagen, amino acids, aminexil and plant extracts. The product should be massaged into the scalp using circular motions.
Use of Nicotinic Acid for Hair Growth.
The use of nicotinic acid accelerates the growth of new hair and strengthens the hair covering. However, trichologists do not recommend using nicotinic acid as the primary method to improve the condition of the scalp, as the treatment does not address the underlying causes. Therefore, before prescribing nicotinic acid, a trichoscopy is conducted. During this examination, the trichologist assesses the function of the sebaceous glands, the condition of the hair follicles and the quantity and rate of hair growth. Based on the results, the doctor individually selects a hair care regimen and may prescribe nicotinic acid if necessary.
